I don't know how many of you know about it but EA has finally released Battlefield Bad Company on PS3 and Xbox 360 and it is the latest installment in their Battlefield franchise. This of course means Battlefield, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, Battlefield Vietman and all the other Battlefield games. However this has got to be their best yet, while not on PC (exclusive for two of the next gen consoles) they have excelled themselves by creating a decent single player storyline which is a first and is fantastic to play on it's own, but it's real feature is it's online multiplayer which is the best system i have seen in use in so very long (thank god i have cable now). The graphics are amazing with realistic explosive effects and bullet tracers and the sounds are so good i feel right in the middle of combat (or out of the way as my sniping goes) but thats not even the best part. How many times have we come up against a game where no matter how hard we try those damn buildings just keep on standing and that one lonely tree in the middle of nowhere just doesn't fall when you hit it with a tank. Well that is no more, thats right each and every level is set up to be 90% destructable which means that when my M1A1 Abrams main battle tank runs into a tree, the tree is suddenly flattened underneath it, or when you man the stationary artilery gun and bombard you enemy from afar you can turn a usualy flat terrained area into a rocky and bumby waste land where your shells just keep hitting. Of course there is the buildings that are no longer a refuge for those damn soldiers hiding away, protecting the objective by guarding the door because now you can make your own... by blowing a hole in the wall. Nothing beats knowing that the enemy is hiding right behind a wall then blowing a hole in that wall and knifing them (this does however leave you with a very empty and ruined building but hey.. i blew a hole in the wall. All in all i am obssessed with this game and so are many others i suggest others that have either a PS3 or 360 to get it and those who have the PS3 and can play online to let me know so i can maybe get them to join squads now and then.
